United is the Way to nourishing families, strengthening stability, and building a thriving community.
United We Feed is a Healthy Living Initiative that leverages corporate and community partnerships to provide fresh food access to our community’s ALICE and poverty populations.
Through these sponsorships, CAUW connects local businesses to the opportunity to nurture their community by providing fresh, nutritious produce to a targeted group of individuals and families, allowing them to save money on groceries and ensuring they have access to healthy foods.
Additionally, recipients of these distributions receive complimentary food staples that are relevant to the intended recipe’s ingredients list. Not only are they receiving access to food, but each family also receives informative materials educating them on CAUW’s additional programs & initiatives such as United Way 211/CAUW, Bank On Baton Rouge, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), and SingleCare prescriptions savings cards.
