United We Feed

United We Feed is a Basic Needs Initiative that leverages corporate and community partnerships to provide fresh food access to our community’s ALICE and poverty populations. Sponsored by Hancock Whitney.

Capital Area United Way/The Life of a Single Mom

Join Women United members from across the community to help us in feeding our neighbors who have been affected by the economic impact of COVID-19.

In partnership with The Life of a Single Mom, a Capital Area United Way funded partner, the funds raised will work to assist single mothers throughout the area with fresh produce boxes.

Single mothers are one of the most impacted groups because they normally work several jobs to provide for their families, many of which have been shutdown or suspended due to the ongoing pandemic. In addition, one out of three single mothers suffers from anxiety and depression that has likely been heightened during the ongoing events. These families are also ten times more likely to suffer poor mental and physical health.

Your donation will help feed these families in our Capital area. $25 will feed a family of four for a week. Please consider supporting the single mothers in our community.
