Capital Area United Way has established a COVID-19 Community Relief Fund to aid the residents and organizations of our 10-parish region. The fund will be used to assist in the recovery from the pandemic's impact to our local area. The dollars raised will be used to support our 2-1-1 and Crisis Call operations, funding for COVID-19 expenses as well as the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population who have been greatly impacted by business closures during this time.
Again, this fund is being established to support COVID-19 needs in our community. This fund will evolve as the needs in our community evolve. We will NOT take any administrative costs off the top of these donations.
Thank you to the Mosaic Company who kicked off this fund by donating the first $10,000. Capital Area United Way has committed to match dollar for dollar up to the first $100,000 donated.
