Flood Info: Rental, Sheltering & Housing Assistance

Transitional Sheltering Assistance

FEMA opened TSA (Transitional Sheltering Assistance) program on 8/18/16. FEMA may provide TSA to

eligible disaster survivors who have a continuing need for shelter after the congregate shelters have

closed because they are unable to return to their homes for an extended period of time. This initiative is

intended to provide short-term lodging for eligible disaster survivors whose communities are either

uninhabitable or inaccessible due to disaster-related damages.

Addressing the direst need | 1 Volunteer's Perspective

This is a guest post from a Program Investment Volunteer who evaluated programs in the Health focus area, specifically the Treatment and Management strategy.  These programs provide identification, treatment and management of mental, physical and dental health.  These services should be designed to not only screen and assess for issues, but also to provide the treatment and management needed for continued health and wellness.
