Emerging Leaders Install a Little Free Library

First Little Free Library installed at a BREC park

BATON ROUGE, LA (March 2, 2016) – In partnership with BREC parks, the Emerging Leaders (EL) of Capital Area United Way installed its first Little Free Library at BREC’s City-Brooks Community Park on Thursday, February 25, 2016. Participants can leave books to share and take books they would like to read. Little Free Library books are always a gift and never for sale.
“One of the major focuses for the United Way Emerging Leaders is promoting early childhood literacy,” said Natalie Wood, Chair of Emerging Leaders, “Partnering with BREC on the Little Free Library initiative is a great way to get books in children's hands and encourage a love of reading.”
