The Life of a Single Mom
SOS Project, June 16, 2017: WLC has partnered with The Life of a Single Mom to serve single mothers in the Greater Baton Rouge Area through their Serving Other Sisters program. This is a volunteer-driven program where we have the opportunity to lend a helping hand to a single mom homeowner. Yard work, cleaning in and around the home are some of the things we'll do. Spring cleaning has never been so much fun! Click here to sign up as a volunteer.

June 6, 2016 – WorkReady at Hope Ministries
Volunteer to help the Women's Leadrship Council lead a 2-hour presentation at HOPE Ministries where they demonstrated ways to build a resume, dress professionally and attend a job interview. Click here to view pictures!
March 8, 2016 - International Women's Day
In celebration of International Women's Day, WLC members held workshops where they shared their expertise to get women workforce ready and stepping confidently toward self-sufficiency. Teaming up with St. Vincent de Paul, WLC provided mock interview sessions and resume building training as part of their WORKREADY program.
