Baton Rouge Little Theater announced Wednesday, July 15 as the date for The King and I performance to benefit Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS). Each year, the theater donates one performance of its summer musical to the nonprofit. Tickets are $35 and include a wine and cheese reception. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with curtain call at 7:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, call 226-4700. Master Card and Visa are accepted.

VIPS is an independent nonprofit that works to foster student success for every child in East Baton Rouge Parish public schools by building support for public education. VIPS is a United Way agency.
