Education, Income, Health and Meeting Basic Needs

There are basic things that we all need for a good life:

  • A quality education that leads to a stable job
  • Income that can support a family through retirrement
  • Good health
  • Basic resources to help during a crisis or transitional stage

United Way is focused on putting together the pieces for a better community:

  • Education - helping people acheive their potential through education and workforce training
  • Income - promoting financial stability and independence
  • Health - improving people's health
  • Basic Needs - providing the daily resources needed in order to survive
Lasting Change
  • Our goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems.
  • We don't want to just address the symptoms of a problem - we want to go deeper to attack the underlying causes.
  • United Way believes that when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all.
  • These lasting changes have benefits that ripple through the community as a whole.

We all win:

  • when a child succeeds in school
  • when families are financial stable
  • when people have good health
  • when our neighbors have the resources to meet their basic needs
LIVE UNITED
  • You are never alone when you LIVE UNITED.
  • It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future.
  • Together, we can accomplish more than any individual or single group can on its own.
