9/11 Day of Service

We Remember.

In observance of the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, please join us and pay tribute to the victims and the many who rose to service in response to 9/11 by engaging in activities that show your support. Through the efforts of the families of this tragedy, 9/11 was established as a National Day of Service and Rememberence in 2009. We invite you to join the largest expression of charitable service in U.S. history. This year's activities seek to honor the extraordinary sacrifices made by thousands of rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and public safety personnel, as well as hundreds of thousands of brave individuals who have defended our nation as members of our armed forces here at home and overseas.

"The 9/11 tragedy did not just demonstrate the evil in terrorist's hearts - even more so it demonstrated the remarkable goodness and compassion that exists in the hearts and souls of most human beings."

How you can pay Tribute:

    • Join us for a screening of the documentary, New York Says Thank You. New Yorkers witnessed their fellow Americans' overwhelming generosity as aid from across the nation flowed into their city after September 11. The desire to repay the kindness gave birth to the New York Says Thank You Foundation that brings New York firefighters and volunteers to rebuild after disasters all over the US. The film will be followed by a panel discussion.
